Many different types of vaccinations are available for horses. Since every horse has a different lifestyle, it is important to discuss vaccinations with us. Some horses travel and are surrounded by lots of other horses while others simply stay at home. Your horse may need certain vaccinations due to where they live. There are many diseases that are more prevalent in certain areas. By discussing your horse’s vaccines with us, you can make sure that your horse is adequately protected without over-vaccinating him or her.
Horse breeding is a big business and a huge part of our hospital. Our entire staff is dedicated to ensuring a successful breeding and a healthy foal! Our entire staff is dedicated to equine reproduction. We are proud to be knowledgeable about many aspects of breeding, including heat cycles, artificial insemination, and much more. Our entire hospital uses the latest technologies to ensure that you can have a successful breeding program. We are constantly learning and growing so that you can have healthy babies, as easily as possible.
We are proud to offer equine dentistry and provide care for your horse’s entire oral cavity. A horse’s teeth and jaw function are vital to their overall well being, so dental care is an important part of your horse’s health. We provide floating for horses as well as a range of routine to advanced services. Proper dental care will ensure that your horse’s teeth are not causing discomfort, pain, or other potential health issues.
We understand horses’ feet are just as important as the rest of their body, if not more important. When horses are lame or don’t have the right shoes, they will not perform at their best. That is why we are determined to work closely with your farrier (or take care of their hooves ourselves) to make sure they are well taken care of!
If your horse is lame for any reason, our entire team is dedicated to finding out the reason and helping your horse get back to normal. With a lameness examination, we first study the legs for swelling, abnormal hoof wear, or anything else out of the ordinary. We palpate all of the joints, tendons, and ligaments to try to feel for anything abnormal that may be making your horse lame.
